I’m Jay Glaspy—a U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran, NASM-certified personal trainer, and founder of Command Athlete Performance. I coach youth and high school athletes to develop speed, functional strength, and mental resilience through a proven system that builds confidence, sharpens focus, and develops game-ready performance.

I specialize in long-term athlete development—training both the body and the mind to build faster, stronger, and more resilient competitors. From explosive first steps to enduring finishes, my programs prepare athletes to perform at their peak when it matters most.

Based in Haymarket - Gainesville, Virginia, I serve local athletes and beyond through in-person, online, and hybrid coaching options—customized to each athlete’s goals, sport, and level.

Our Approach

I build complete athletes through a proven system of assessment, custom programming, and performance tracking. Every athlete begins with our Athletic Benchmark Assessment to identify strengths, gaps, and movement quality. From there, I design a personalized training plan that builds explosive speed, strength, and mental resilience—while focusing on recovery, injury prevention, and smart progressions. Our track-improve-reassess model ensures each athlete grows over time, stays motivated, and performs when it counts most—without burnout.
